Sketches, comics, paintings, illustrations

I am a self-taught illustrator based in London, creating art and comics inspired by nature, folklore and culture. My website is nataliebsketching.com

I rediscovered drawing and painting in 2020, when I began a sketchbook practice that never stopped. I’m a member of Urban Sketchers London; I love the community of it even more than the observational sketching.

I am all about jokes and narrative. My early inspirations include Quentin Blake, Bill Watterson, Hergé, Martin Brown (Horrible Histories) and Kate Beaton. Added to the culture mix are British and American comedies, a literature degree, and a fascination with history and languages.

I make comics and zines that channel my cultural and artistic interests, inspired by the indie zine community in London and online.
